Saturdays 10 am Prenatal Pilates: Pregnancy is a very special time in your life. While your body continues to change, it is important to find a safe and effective exercise routine to support these changes. Learn modifications throughout all the stages. Some benefits of prenatal pilates are: strength building in legs, arms, back and deep support muscles such as your abdominals and pelvic floor to help with delivery and postpartum recovery; improve balance and flexibility in your ever changing body; and work on stabilizing and strengthening while also loosening up the areas that need it for a successful labor! Props needed for this class: light hand weights (1lbs, 2lbs, 3lbs), large stability ball or chair
Saturdays 11am Postpartum Pilates: Postpartum Pilates focuses on recovery after having a baby--whether that was a few months or several years ago. Because your body undergoes massive changes during pregnancy, it is important to build strength back slowly and properly in order to avoid a longer recovery and prevent injury. Some benefits of Postpartum Pilates are: rebuild and strengthen abdominals (even help heal Diastasis Recti) correctly and safely; stretch and strengthen chest and back which can become tight or weak with all those diaper changes and breastfeeding; and a faster and safer recovery!
Saturdays 12pm All Levels Mat Pilates : All Levels Mat Pilates is perfect for someone new to Pilates or an experienced person looking to deepen their practice. Modifications and progressions will be offered so you can workout at the right level for you. Based on Joseph Pilates’ original 34 exercises, we will take an innovative and individualized approach to classical mat work to get the best workout for you.
PRIVATE REFORMER CLASS
The reformer is a sophisticated design of springs, pulleys and a platform to offer a versatile repertoire of exercises that incorporate strength and flexibility training in a way that enhances posture, balance, and coordination. One-on-one training designed specifically for you and to achieve your personal goals. Each private session is 55 minutes. Online and in person options available.
PRIVATE TOWER CLASS
This private will combine the resistance of the springs of the tower with the precise movements of mat work to create an effective and individualized workout. The equipment supports the body to ensure proper stabilization and positioning while providing added resistance for core stability, flexibility and lengthening of muscles. One-on-one training designed specifically for you and to achieve your personal goals. Each private session is 55 minutes. Online and in person options available.
PRIVATE MAT CLASS
Based on Joseph Pilates’ original 34 exercises, we will take an innovative and individualized approach to classical mat work to get the best workout for you. We might also use some other Pilates equipment such as the Magic Circle, Spine Corrector, Foam Roller, etc. One-on-one training designed specifically for you and to achieve your personal goals. Each private session is 55 minutes. Online and in person options available.
IN-HOME PRIVATE SESSIONS
In-Home Privates are the perfect solution for clients who are too busy to get to the studio and want the luxury and convenience of having a trainer come to their home. Clients recovering from injuries, suffering from busy schedules, and postnatal moms who can't leave their baby just yet are all great examples of whom can benefit from In-Home Private training. Don't have Pilates equipment? No problem. We will bring a variety of props such as the Spine Corrector, Magic Circle, Thera-Bands, Bosu Ball, weights and balls to create a fun and challenging workout. Get the personalized session without having to leave your home!
GROUP MAT CLASSES
Coco Marie Pilates has partnered with Glide Training Co. to offer small group Pilates mat classes located in Banker's Hill, San Diego. Classes are currently offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5pm.
